Members of AUX participate in Boston Cares fundraiser

Yesterday, several members of AUX, along with some good friends, participated in the Boston Cares "Dash for a Difference" fundraiser. What a perfect day for such an event!

The fundraiser is a sort of community service scavenger hunt. Each participating team is given a clue at the beginning that leads them to their first destination where they discover what community service task they'll be performing there. Upon completion of the task, they're given a new clue leading them to their next destination and next task.

Since the tasks are spread throughout the city, most teams travel in cars. However, in a continuing celebration of Earth Day, our team, The Spokespeople, decided to take the fundraiser a step further and make it a completely green one; we completed all of the tasks on bicycles! Needless to say considering the gorgeous weather, we're all a little sunburned!

We had a great time and we want to thank Boston Cares for putting together such a great event!

Our fundraising page will remain active for a little while past the event so if you'd like to make a donation in support of this cause, please visit our team page to donate.
